Dual Design Excellence: Custom ElfoLifts for Twin Residences in Highgate Hill

Perched in Brisbane’s elevated and leafy Highgate Hill, two neighbouring homes make an architectural statement — not only in form, but in how they function. Both properties span four generous levels, culminating in private rooftop terraces that offer expansive views of the surrounding suburb. To complement the design and lifestyle of each home, Lift Shop installed a pair of fully customised ElfoLifts, tailored to enhance both luxury and ease of access.

The specification for each lift was a generous 1100mm wide by 1400mm deep cabin — a size designed for spacious comfort and easy movement between floors. The ElfoLift’s reliable and whisper-quiet operation made it the perfect match for these upscale residences. Importantly, the design brief extended far beyond function — both homeowners wanted their lifts to feel like a natural extension of their interior palettes and personal styles.

To achieve this, each ElfoLift was fitted with primed steel doors, painted on site to match the unique colour schemes of the respective floors. Full-size door furniture added a sophisticated touch, making a statement while remaining consistent with the homes’ luxurious detailing. The cabins themselves reflected thoughtful individuality. One featured a rear wall finished in a full-length mirror to visually open the space, another showcased a custom timber wall, and a third employed a sleek two-pack painted surface. These varied, yet complementary finishes were tied together with a polished stainless steel handrail and individualised flooring, allowing each home to reflect its owner’s vision with elegance and cohesion.
