Luxury is defined by quality — and at Lift Shop, that standard is built into every detail. From premium aluminium swing doors instead of inferior steel alternatives, to higher-grade components throughout, our lifts are engineered to look better, operate more smoothly, and stand the test of time. These investments in superior materials and engineering are what allow us to confidently provide our industry-leading 8 year warranty.

Every Lift Shop™ lift is backed by an Industry leading 8-year warranty. It is included as standard because we build our lifts for long-term reliability.
Over 90% of our lifts are installed in private homes, away from the heavy wear and misuse often seen in public environments. Combined with higher quality components and proven engineering systems, this allows us to confidently stand behind our products for longer.
Peace of mind should not be an expensive extra. At Lift Shop, it is part of the package.
The warranty covers 8 years or 80,000 trips, whichever comes first, provided the lift is serviced by Lift Shop technicians at least twice per year.
Applies to all new lift sales from 1st July 2025. Metropolitan areas only. Terms and Conditions apply.
At Lift Shop safety is non-negotiable. It is not an optional extra – it is included as standard.
As an industry leader, we continue to set higher standards through advanced safety features including In-Cabin Self Rescue technology, emergency communication systems, automatic lowering during power outages, and machine-space rescue systems — all designed to give homeowners greater confidence and control.

Every Lift Shop lift includes our In-Cabin Self Rescue technology, developed to help homeowners stay safe and in control.
If there’s a minor lift issue or power interruption, our battery-backed In-Cabin Self Rescue system activates automatically. Once the lift has safely secured the doors, passengers can simply press and hold two buttons inside the cabin.
The lift then travels safely to the nearest lower floor, where the doors unlock, allowing passengers to exit normally without waiting for external assistance.
Designed specifically for residential environments, the system provides homeowners with greater reassurance, independence and peace of mind — particularly in private homes where emergency access may not always be immediate.

We have invested in specialised aluminium scaffolding systems designed to provide a safer working environment for our installers — helping protect both our people and our clients from unnecessary safety risks and compliance issues.
Working at heights without compliant access systems can result in significant penalties, site shutdowns, insurance complications, and serious safety risks for everyone involved in the project.
Residential lift installations require technicians to work safely within open shafts and elevated areas during the installation process. Proper scaffolding is critical to maintaining compliance with Australian workplace safety standards.
At Lift Shop, we have invested in purpose-built aluminium scaffolding systems because we believe safety should never be compromised. It protects our installers, helps keep projects running smoothly, and provides homeowners with greater confidence throughout the installation process.

After 30 years, we know this: your satisfaction and safety come before profit.
With demand soaring and skilled labour tight, we’re limiting new orders. This isn’t about turning away business, it’s about protecting our promise to deliver flawless quality and service. We don’t chase volume. We pursue excellence.
A faulty lift isn’t a problem solved by replacement, it’s a problem that grows. Fixing it right and keeping you happy is our priority. That’s why over 5,000 clients rate us 5 stars on Google.
If we can’t guarantee your satisfaction, we’ll say no.
Here’s when:
Financial Risk: We don’t pass bad debts onto our good clients.
Unrealistic Expectations: Our timelines are strict because they work.
Safety Negligence: Ignoring safety isn’t negotiable.
Unreasonable Demands or Conduct: Respect is non-negotiable, for us and our people.
Mismatch in Solutions: We’re specialists, if we don’t have the right lift for your needs, we won’t compromise.
Price Wars: Cooperation beats haggling. We prefer solving problems to hiring lawyers and yes, our legal team at Gilbert + Tobin is very good (and very expensive).
Thank you for understanding.
This is how everyone wins, with satisfaction, safety, and trust intact.

Lift Shop was established in 1996 and has installed over 11,500 residential lifts across Australia. We have grown from a single office to six offices across Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra) plus one in Los Angeles. Our longevity and scale reflect the trust that Australian families have placed in us over three decades.
Our 11,500+ installations give us unmatched experience in Australian homes and climates. We understand the specific challenges of coastal corrosion, outback heat, tropical humidity, and regional accessibility. We have refined our products and service processes based on this vast real-world experience.
Yes. Lift Shop holds lift contractor licences in every Australian state and territory. We are fully licensed and compliant with all relevant work health and safety legislation. Our lifts are engineered to meet and exceed Australian Standard AS1735.18 (passenger lifts for private residences) and related parts of AS1735.
We also comply with the European standard EN81-41 for residential lifts and relevant provisions of the National Construction Code. Our compliance status and licence details are available on our website with direct look-up links for verification. Verify our licensing through SafeWork NSW or your relevant state or territory regulator.
ICSR (In-Cabin Self-Rescue) is fundamentally different from simple battery backup lowering. Battery backup lowering passively lowers the cabin to the nearest floor if power fails. ICSR gives you active control — you can press buttons inside the cabin to move the lift to the nearest floor yourself. You are not waiting for an automatic system; you are in control.
We introduced ICSR in 2007 and it is approved by WorkCover NSW as meeting the highest safety standards. In a home lift situation where help may be far away, active self-rescue is safer than passive lowering. ICSR is a Lift Shop innovation that we include on every lift.
Yes. We install and service home lifts across Australia, we have six office locations (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra) that cover all major population centres, and we dispatch technicians to regional and remote areas as well.
Our service reach includes coastal cities, inland regional towns, and remote properties. If you are located outside one of our major offices, contact us and we will discuss service coverage for your specific address. Our commitment is to support Lift Shop customers nationwide.
A home lift can be an attractive feature to potential buyers, particularly families with ageing relatives or people with mobility challenges. However, the exact impact on resale value depends on many factors: the local market, the buyer profile, the lift quality, and the home’s other features. A well-maintained lift from a reputable supplier is an asset; a poorly maintained lift may concern buyers.
We recommend disclosing the lift to potential buyers and emphasising its quality, warranty, and service record. Our 8-year warranty, 11,500+ installation record, and professional maintenance are strong selling points. For some buyers, an installed lift saves them the cost and hassle of installing one themselves. Speak with your real estate agent about how the lift is positioned in your specific market.
