When the owners first designed and built their home a decade ago, they had the vision to future-proof the space with a dedicated lift shaft. For years, the shaft served as clever additional storage — simple false floors provided usable space on each level. But now, the time had come to realise the shaft’s true purpose, and Lift Shop was ready to deliver the perfect solution.
Enter the ElfoLift, expertly designed in 10mm increments to fit any available space. In this case, the existing shaft allowed for a 1050mm wide x 1240mm deep cabin with a standard ceiling height of 2100mm. With a generous 300kg load capacity and travel speed of 0.3m/s, the result was a perfectly sized 3–4 person lift providing smooth access from the garage to the two upper levels of the home.
In keeping with the owners’ minimalist and clean aesthetic, the interior and exterior finishes reflect a crisp, modern tone. The landing doors were powdercoated in gloss RAL 9003 white, setting the tone for the entire installation. Inside the cabin, the A32PP skinplate walls, ceiling, and profiles carried the theme forward with a sleek, bright finish.
For a touch of subtle contrast, the cabin also featured an aluminium handrail and durable black Pirelli non-slip rubber flooring. These materials not only enhanced the look but also added functionality and safety to the lift — making it as practical as it is stylish.
The seamless installation and understated elegance of the finished lift proved that good planning pays off. The shaft — once simply a placeholder — now houses a modern vertical transport system that makes everyday life easier and ensures the home is ready for the future.
