The lift was designed to blend harmoniously with the home’s existing architecture, starting with the landing doors. These doors were fitted with timber mouldings and matching door furniture identical to the rest of the doors in the home, ensuring the lift entrance didn’t stand out. To maintain the home’s consistent visual flow, an innovative solution was implemented: the height of the doors was artificially increased by adding higher architraves and extending the timber panelling, making the lift doors appear the same height as the other doors throughout the residence.

As an additional thoughtful touch, the lift buttons were strategically installed into the walls, ensuring they didn’t disrupt the carefully crafted architraves. This attention to detail allowed the lift to maintain its elegant appearance while still providing functional accessibility.

Inside the cabin, the design carries through the same luxurious elements found throughout the home. The cabin’s walls were framed with heavy black-painted timber mouldings that provide a bold contrast to the light, airy finishes elsewhere. The walls themselves are a beautiful combination of patterned wallpaper and a full-height mirror, which adds a sense of space and depth, making the cabin feel larger and more open.
