The Finish
In May, the Melbourne showroom was rebuilt from the ground up. At the centre of the new floor sits a lift finished entirely in brushed bronze.
Every few years a finish arrives that changes what people ask for. In 2026, that finish is brushed bronze. Since we introduced the finish, 201 lifts have already been specified that include it. A warm, brushed Italian metal, specified across the cabin walls, the landing doors and the control panel, so the whole lift reads as one material rather than a collection of parts.
We installed the first one in the Melbourne showroom in May, it has been the top selling finish in the Lift Shop range ever since. What follows is the story of what went into it.
The Doors
The lift carries two sets of sliding landing doors in brushed bronze, configured opposite entry. The cabin is entered from one side and exited from the other, so it can face an entry hall on one wall and a living space on the other.
Sliding doors run inside the shaft. Nothing swings out into the room, so the floor plan stays intact on both sides. Hands-free operation is available as an option on sliding doors. No button, no touching. Just a simple gesture to call the lift.

The Cabin
The walls are brushed bronze on every face. The floor is custom timber floorboards, specified to run with the flooring outside the lift rather than announce itself as something separate. Four warm spotlights sit in the ceiling.
The Moderna control panel is finished in brushed bronze to match, so the interface reads as part of the cabin instead of an appliance mounted onto it. Ceilings are 2100mm, 100mm above the industry standard, which is what stops a lift this size from feeling like a box. Every surface, handle and finish is specified before the lift is built.

The Glass
Three sides bronze, one side open. The ride stops being a closed journey and becomes part of the room it travels through. In the showroom you watch the shaft structure pass as you move between levels.
Against glass, bronze earns its place. The metal reads as a warm line around the view rather than a heavy surround, and the light coming through shifts the tone of the bronze through the day.
The Lift
The Melbourne lift is a C Series, the Compact of the range. It carries 4 persons, serves 2 to 6 levels and travels at 0.30 m/s. Every C Series is custom built in Italy to the shaft it will live in, and every one carries the 8-year warranty as standard, backed by regular servicing.
It is built to AS 1735 and the NCC and carries In Cabin Self Rescue as standard. Not an upgrade, not a package. If power fails, passengers can bring the lift to the nearest landing themselves and step out. The cabin also carries a flush-mount USA-made GSM emergency phone, connected independently of the home landline.

Always Evolving
Bronze is a beautiful tone that works with the most homes. It sits with timber, stone, marble, brass and black hardware without asking the room to change around it. It is available across all three series, the A Series, C Series and E Series, for a small premium over the standard finishes.
Bronze reads residential. It sits with timber, stone and brass instead of fighting them.

A brushed bronze home lift is a Lift Shop lift finished in warm bronze-toned Italian metal across the cabin walls, the landing doors and the control panel. The brushed texture gives a soft matte surface that does not hold fingerprints the way a polished finish does.
Brushed bronze was released in 2025, alongside brass and titanium grey. It has been the top selling finish since its release. The Melbourne showroom lift was installed in May 2026.
Brushed bronze is available across all three series: the A Series, the C Series and the E Series. The Melbourne showroom lift is a C Series serving two levels.
Brushed bronze carries a small premium over the standard finishes. Most Lift Shop clients invest between $60,000 and $120,000 for a lift fully installed, and every quote is fixed for 12 months under the Price Lock.

In Cabin Self Rescue is a Lift Shop exclusive that is standard on every lift. If power fails, passengers can bring the lift to the nearest landing themselves and step out, rather than waiting inside for assistance.
Opposite entry means the lift has landing doors on two opposite sides, so the cabin is entered from one side and exited from the other. The Melbourne showroom lift has two sets of brushed bronze sliding doors configured this way.
