Tasked with fitting a three-level outdoor lift into a tight void between two solid building forms, Lift Shop delivered a flawless outcome—combining precision engineering, bespoke manufacturing, and bold design thinking.
The project demanded meticulous collaboration with our Italian manufacturer. Every measurement had to be perfect to ensure the lift and its glass shaft would nest seamlessly within the available space. The result? A vertical installation that maximises the void and integrates so naturally it looks like part of the original construction.
More than just functional, the lift enhances the home’s aesthetic and experience. With glass shaft panels and clear glass cabin walls, the ride between floors offers stunning views of the home’s tranquil, tree-lined surrounds. The transparency of the structure also invites natural light into areas of the home that were previously underlit—adding not just vertical access, but architectural uplift.
Given the exposure to weather, every detail was carefully considered. The shaft uses stopsol reflective glass—engineered to deflect heat and reduce glare—while a solar-powered air vent positioned at the top helps regulate internal temperatures naturally. The homeowners have confirmed that the cabin remains cool and comfortable in all conditions—no matter the season.
To ensure uninterrupted use in all weather, the top-level balcony exit was enclosed with a frameless glass barrier, shielding passengers from wind and rain while preserving sightlines and openness. This attention to detail reinforces our commitment to blending practicality with luxury—a hallmark of the E Series and Lift Shop’s broader approach.
