Perched above the dramatic coastline of Laguna Beach, this breathtaking new residence embraces modern design, expansive views, and thoughtful functionality. A key part of this luxury build was the inclusion of a three-level, single-opening ElfoLift — perfectly tailored to blend style and practicality across every floor.
Inside the cabin, the lift was fitted with Similinox skinplate walls, chosen for their clean, refined appearance and durability. These were beautifully offset by brushed stainless steel profiles, adding a sophisticated contrast and metallic elegance to the space. But the true design flourish came from the builder’s personal touch: a custom geometric timber floor with a stunning inlaid stone centrepiece. This bespoke flooring detail brought warmth, artistry, and individuality to the lift — making it a true design feature, not just a functional element.
The attention to detail didn’t stop at the cabin. At each landing, the specially manufactured steel doors and extra-tall 2450mm frames were finished in a rich deluxe felt wallpaper. This tactile finish provided a unique visual link between the lift and the home’s broader interior palette, seamlessly integrating the vertical access into the overall design narrative.
For the final touch of intelligent design, the lift’s machine equipment was cleverly hidden away in a below-stair alcove — disguised behind a stylish shelving unit. This not only maintained the clean architectural lines of the space but added a layer of thoughtful spatial planning that elevated the entire experience.
