Planning ahead has its rewards — and in this stylish Shelly Beach residence, that foresight has paid off beautifully. When the home was originally constructed, the owners had the vision to include a lift shaft as part of the build, knowing that the time would come when vertical access would add both convenience and long-term value. That time finally arrived, and with it, a perfectly integrated ElfoLift installation.
Built into the side of the home, the shaft had been waiting patiently, purpose-built for a future lift. Years later, the ElfoLift’s custom sizing capabilities made it easy to maximise the space, resulting in a generous 1100mm wide x 1400mm deep cabin — ideal for everyday residential use while offering excellent accessibility.
The final lift design was carefully tailored to complement the home’s contemporary styling. Anodised aluminium doors with milk white glass created a light, clean look that matches seamlessly with the existing architecture. Inside, the cabin featured brushed stainless steel look skinplate (F41PPS) walls and ceiling, giving it a refined, modern aesthetic that feels both understated and premium.
Brushed stainless steel profiles, a half-height mirror with handrail, and custom tiled flooring added thoughtful layers of detail — delivering not just a mode of transport, but a small space with real design integrity. From a visual and functional perspective, it feels like the lift has always been part of the home.
By preparing the shaft early and engaging Lift Shop when the time was right, the owners avoided costly structural changes and added a feature that enhances both liveability and property value.
