In the heart of Dianella, WA, a distinctive new residence stands as a testament to architectural precision and personal vision. The homeowner had a clear aesthetic direction: a bold yet natural palette featuring black glass and Tasmanian Oak throughout the home. Bringing this design to life meant ensuring that every inclusion aligned with the broader concept — including the home’s vertical access solution. That’s where Lift Shop’s flexible E1 swing door elevator delivered on form, function, and finish.
Configured as a single-entry system, the E1 was tailored to complement the home’s visual language without disrupting flow. Its ability to adapt to detailed material choices made it the perfect canvas for this designer-led build. The doors were supplied in anodised aluminium with black glass panels — a sophisticated, mirror-like surface that reflects surrounding materials and contributes to the property’s sleek architectural lines.
Inside the cabin, the aesthetic continues with F12PPS Similinox skinplate walls, offering a brushed stainless look that’s modern, durable, and elegantly neutral. The cabin’s polished stainless steel profiles add subtle shine and edge definition, helping to tie in with other metalwork found throughout the home’s joinery and fixtures.
Measuring 1150mm x 910mm, the cabin comfortably accommodates up to four people (or 300kg), making it perfect for families, guests, or simply carrying heavy items between floors. It’s built to comply with AS1735 Part 18 residential lift code, and operates at 0.3m/s — the fastest allowable speed for residential applications under Australian standards.
With a travel height of 2940mm, this small-yet-powerful lift provides reliable and elegant access between levels, adding long-term value while staying true to the home’s modern design story. The owners are delighted not only with the ease and performance of the lift but also with how seamlessly it integrates into their vision for the property.
