Glass and polished stainless

Lift Shop installed a 3-level E Series home lift in Strathfield, in a landmark new home. Both side walls are full-height clear glass, and the sliding doors are polished stainless with framed glass.

The house is built in double brick and concrete, finished in Italian marble, off-form concrete, European oak, travertine and limestone, and run by a Control4 smart home system. Its centrepiece is a marble spiral stair, joined by a Gaggenau kitchen, brass Astra Walker fittings, a pool with a waterfall and a cabana. In a home finished to this level, the lift had to be a feature too, so it was specified in glass and polished stainless.

A new benchmark for Strathfield

The house is built in double brick and concrete, with Italian marble, off-form concrete, European oak, travertine and limestone. A marble spiral stair winds through the centre of the house.

Three levels run from a basement garage with metallic epoxy floors to the bedrooms above. The lift ties them together.

The E Series

A cabin you can see through

Both cabin side walls are full-height clear glass. The rear wall is Skinplate in a brushed stainless look, and the ceiling, trims and outside coverings are polished stainless.

Two-piece side-opening sliding doors in brushed stainless and framed glass serve each landing, and the cabin doors match in polished stainless.

The flagship, fully glazed

The E Series is The Flagship of the range, with 400 kg capacity and In Cabin Self Rescue as standard. A flush phone keeps the glass cabin uncluttered.

The builder constructed the shaft to our drawings, and the support brackets were painted black to disappear behind the glass.

Why it works

Glass on both sides

The cabin opens the view across the house as it rises.

Polished to match

Polished stainless echoes the brass and marble inside.

Basement to bedrooms

Three stops link the garage with every living floor.
