Perched high above the San Francisco Bay, this magnificent four-level home is a showcase of architectural ambition — and at its heart is a striking ElfoLift installation that brings together panoramic views, smart engineering, and iconic design cues. Lift Shop was proud to deliver a solution that not only complements the grandeur of the home but enhances its functionality with elegance and ease.
Central to the layout is a glass shaft housing a fully customised ElfoLift with an adjacent through car configuration, providing effortless travel across all four levels. One wall of the cabin features clear glass to take full advantage of the spectacular views through the transparent shaft — an intentional design choice that aligns with the home’s open, light-filled aesthetic.
Each landing is finished with RAL 9006 powdercoated doors and full-size panoramic clear glass, complemented by Caspim door handles — a combination that reinforces the home’s modern luxury tone. Going one step further, all mechanical equipment and lift components were also finished in RAL 9006 to create visual cohesion between the interior of the shaft and the lift itself.
Inside the cabin, the drive wall and ceiling were provided in primed paint finish, allowing the homeowner to apply local custom finishes that matched their interior vision. This flexibility is a hallmark of Lift Shop’s residential lifts, empowering homeowners and designers to personalise each lift to their environment.
Perhaps the most distinctive feature of all: the lift shaft was painted in a burnt red tone to pay homage to the nearby Golden Gate Bridge, visible from the home’s upper floors. This bold signature move ties the property not just to its location but to a global icon — making the lift both a design centrepiece and a tribute to place.
