In the sun-drenched hills of Santa Monica, this elegant residence combines coastal charm with intelligent design, and now, effortless movement between levels. The owners sought a solution that would allow convenient access between their rear garage and courtyard and the two main floors of the home. The answer? A custom ElfoLift installation, perfectly suited for the home's layout and lifestyle needs.
Lift Shop supplied a streamlined powdercoated steel and glass shaft, housing a through-car ElfoLift with entry and exit on opposite ends, the ideal configuration for connecting multiple entry points without requiring backtracking.
To further enhance usability, the hinged landing doors were fitted with motorised automatic openers and closers, integrated to work in seamless synchronisation with the automatic bi-fold cabin doors. This hands-free operation creates a truly user-friendly experience, especially appreciated when carrying groceries, luggage, or navigating with mobility needs.
The design is as elegant as it is functional. The lift's finish palette, glass panels, and minimalist powdercoated structure complement the home's exterior and courtyard detailing without overshadowing it. The small footprint and tailored through-car layout make it a natural part of the home's flow: not just a vertical transport device, but a design-conscious convenience.
