Seamless Elegance: Installing a Premium E2 Home Lift in Salter Point

For this project, the client sought a home elevator that would perfectly complement the high-quality finishes of their new build located in the picturesque suburb of Salter Point, Western Australia. With a focus on both aesthetics and functionality, the client, alongside their architect and builder, aimed to integrate a lift solution that would enhance the home’s modern design while offering smooth vertical mobility across three floors.

Following a thorough design consultation and detailed technical discussions, the decision was made to proceed with Lift Shop’s E2 Home Lift. Renowned for its blend of luxury, reliability, and customization, the E2 model was an ideal match for the client’s sophisticated residence.

Project Requirements and Lift Configuration

The home features a three-level layout, necessitating a lift capable of servicing all floors seamlessly. The chosen configuration was an adjacent entry design, featuring two entry points on the ground floor to maximise access convenience. This setup ensures easy movement between spaces and complements the flow of the home.

• Doors: Crafted in F41PPS Stainless Steel Look, the doors bring a sleek, modern appearance while offering durability and ease of maintenance.
• Walls: The right-hand side (RHS) walls were finished in matching F41PPS Stainless Steel Look, maintaining consistency in texture and tone. The rear wall incorporates a half-height mirror with the same steel-look skinplate, adding depth and a refined visual dimension to the cabin interior.
• Profiles: Polished stainless steel profiles frame the cabin, enhancing the overall elegance with their reflective, high-end finish.
• Cabin Size: The lift’s spacious interior measures 1100mm by 1200mm, offering comfortable accommodation for passengers and mobility aids alike.
• Flooring: Custom flooring was provided by the client, allowing them to seamlessly match the lift floor with the home’s existing materials and finishes.
• Travel Distance: The lift covers a total vertical travel of 6090mm over three floors, providing efficient and smooth access throughout the home.

Design and Technical Considerations

The primary challenge for this installation was to ensure that the lift harmonised with the home’s contemporary aesthetic without compromising on performance. The use of stainless steel-look skinplate throughout the cabin was a deliberate choice to echo the home’s modern finishes, creating a cohesive feel between the lift and its surroundings.

The adjacent entry configuration not only improves accessibility but also fits well within the architectural constraints, allowing for flexible placement of the lift shaft without sacrificing valuable living space. The inclusion of a half-height mirror on the rear wall enhances natural light reflections inside the cabin, contributing to an open and airy atmosphere during each ride.
