Labour of Love
Black Rock, Melbourne
Overlooking the stunning shoreline of Black Rock, this cherished two-level beachfront residence offered everything the owners wanted, except easy access between floors. Rather than relocate or compromise, the perfect solution came in the form of a custom ElfoLift installed in a steel and glass shaft.
Designed with both beauty and practicality in mind, the lift featured an opposite through car configuration. This means the lift is accessible from either side at both levels of the home, a rare and elegant solution that provides maximum convenience and flexibility. Whether entering from the entry hall or from the main living area, the lift's layout makes vertical travel easy and intuitive.
The glass shaft not only adds modern transparency but also frames the lift as a light-enhancing design feature, blending seamlessly with the beachfront aesthetic and maintaining sightlines throughout the home.
Needless to say, the owners are thrilled with the outcome. Their beloved home is now future-proofed, effortlessly accessible, and retains all of its coastal charm, without the challenge of stairs. And for Lift Shop, it was an absolute pleasure to collaborate on such a meaningful transformation for these appreciative clients.
