A lift planned into a new coastal home

Lift Shop installed an A Series home lift in a new two-storey home in Marmion, on Perth's northern coast. The lift was part of the plan from the start, so it sits neatly off a bright hallway and links both levels behind a clean swing door.

Inside, the cabin is finished in brushed metal, with a mirror across the upper back wall and spotlights set into the ceiling. The light timber floor runs straight in from the hall, so the cabin feels like part of the house the moment the door opens.

Bright, relaxed coastal living

The home is a new two-storey build with an easy coastal feel. Pale timber floors run through the living areas, a stacked stone wall frames the fireplace and wide sliding doors open the lounge to a covered balcony. A row of high windows runs along the top of the walls and fills the rooms with soft light.

The finishes stay light and natural throughout. The bathroom pairs a freestanding bath with brass tapware and soft stone-look tiles. It is a house designed for everyday comfort, and the lift carries that comfort into every trip between the floors.

Why planning the lift early pays off

A new build is the best time to add a home lift. The shaft goes into the plans with the rest of the house, the builder frames it as the walls go up, and the lift arrives to a space made for it. Nothing has to be moved later, and the lift goes exactly where it works best.

That is what happened here. The builder prepared the shaft to Lift Shop's plans and the lift went in as part of the build. The result looks like it was always meant to be there, because it was. The walls around it were built to suit it from day one.

Two levels can feel like a lot of stairs on a busy day. With groceries, laundry, luggage or tired legs, the lift makes both floors equally easy to use, now and for years to come. It carries the 8-year warranty, and regular servicing keeps it protected.

Why it works in a new build

Planned, not added

The lift was in the plans from the start, so it sits neatly off the hallway.

Light and bright inside
