In the coastal enclave of Dover Heights, where design ambition meets ocean breezes, a new four-level home was built with a single idea at its core — to make vertical movement a visual statement. At the heart of this vision is a striking, centrally located frameless glass shaft, paired with a fully customised ElfoLift 2. More than a mode of access, this lift is the architectural centrepiece of the home.
From the earliest design stages, Lift Shop worked closely with the homeowners, builders, and designers to ensure precision at every step. Collaborating tightly with our sales and installation teams, exact measurements and technical integration were critical. The result? A flawless installation that not only delivers effortless travel between levels, but also reflects light and form throughout the open-plan home.
The Elfo 2 cabin features two full-size glass walls, providing openness and transparency, while panoramic glass landing and cabin doors invite a seamless transition on every floor. These are surrounded by Similinox skinplate frames that match the main cabin wall — a subtle but intentional design cue that ties the lift back into the broader materials palette of the home.
To add contrast and visual depth, the cabin’s corner profiles and vertical car operating panel were executed in brushed stainless steel — a contemporary finish that highlights function with finesse. The resulting lift isn’t just discreet — it’s dynamic, visible from various angles throughout the home and acting as a sculptural feature within the interior architecture.
