Project Overview and Client Requirements

The homeowners sought a vertical transportation solution that would complement their sleek, modern interior palette while providing effortless access between the two levels of their stunning new residence. With a focus on clean lines, natural light, and seamless material transitions, the elevator had to be more than just functional; it needed to enhance the home’s visual flow and add value.

The key elevator requirements included:

Design and Installation Challenges

While the project’s architectural plan was clear, integrating a home elevator in a way that was both visually and functionally seamless posed a number of challenges. The homeowners’ modern colour palette demanded precise coordination of materials and finishes to ensure the elevator felt like an intentional part of the interior, not an afterthought.

The single-configuration, two-stop lift needed to fit within the spatial constraints of the home’s layout without sacrificing cabin size or comfort. This required careful calibration of the elevator shaft and cabin dimensions, as well as the selection of door and wall finishes that would complement surrounding surfaces.

Additionally, the elevator’s travel height of 6350mm needed exact engineering for smooth acceleration and deceleration, ensuring a comfortable ride free of vibration or noise, especially important in a residential setting.

Customised E2 Lift Solution

Lift Shop worked closely with the homeowners to deliver a customised E2 home elevator that reflected the home’s refined aesthetic while meeting all functional demands.

• Doors: Powder coated in RAL 9022 (Pearl Light Grey), the doors feature clear glass infills that allow natural light to flow through, maintaining openness and connection between spaces.
• Cabin Walls: The left-hand side wall is finished in Arpa 4517, a contemporary decorative panel with a subtle texture and modern appeal. The rear wall features a full-height mirror that visually expands the cabin space, creating an airy and luxurious feel. The right-hand side wall is crafted from clear glass, reinforcing the elevator’s light and open aesthetic.
• Profiles: Polished stainless steel profiles and trims add a sleek, reflective quality that ties in with the home’s other metallic accents, delivering durability alongside style.
• Flooring: The floor is custom-designed by the client to match the home’s interior finishes, providing a sense of continuity from the surrounding spaces into the elevator cabin itself.
• Cabin Size: The 1200mm wide by 1300mm deep cabin offers ample room for passengers and cargo, including mobility aids or furniture pieces during moving.
• Travel: Spanning a vertical distance of 6350mm, the lift efficiently connects the two storeys with smooth and silent movement.
