In one of Melbourne’s most desirable suburbs, a newly completed seven-townhouse development in Brighton has been elevated in both form and function with the installation of seven E1 elevators — one for each residence. Working in collaboration with David Watson Architect and Balmain & Co, Lift Shop delivered a cohesive vertical access solution tailored to the sleek, contemporary style of the project.
Each three-level lift was carefully designed to integrate seamlessly into the homes’ clean, modern interiors. The cabins were fitted entirely in F41PPS skinplate — a brushed stainless steel-look finish that offers all the aesthetic appeal of metal without the upkeep. The result is a high-end visual without the fingerprint concerns that come with traditional stainless steel surfaces.
To maintain a minimalist architectural language, the landing doors were supplied in plain powdercoated steel, colour-matched to their surrounding walls and surfaces. This subtle design decision ensured the lifts wouldn’t dominate visually, instead complementing the interiors with clean lines and muted tones.
From a construction and delivery perspective, the project was a success on all fronts. The Lift Shop team provided complete oversight — from initial planning and sales through to project management and final handover — ensuring every elevator was installed efficiently, tested, and ready on schedule.
The builder, Balmain & Co, was particularly impressed with Lift Shop’s ability to handle a multi-unit, multi-lift project with precision and professionalism — demonstrating that design, quality, and reliable execution can co-exist even on a large scale.
