All lifts exceed Australian safety standards (AS1735.18) and are engineered for long-term reliability.
No generic lifts. No third-party guesswork.
By focusing on our own systems, we deliver faster fixes, lower costs, and service that’s actually informed.

Our Touchless Call System allows residents to call the lift without touching any physical button, using proximity sensors or voice activation. This system is integrated across our lift range to reduce contact points in homes.
The Touchless Call System works seamlessly on all our A-Series, C-Series, and E-Series lifts. It is particularly beneficial for households with elderly residents, those with mobility challenges, or anyone seeking enhanced hygiene in their home. We have installed this feature in over 1,000 homes across Australia since introducing it as standard technology.
Touchless calling is now standard on all new Lift Shop lifts at no additional cost. We made this decision because the technology improves usability for all residents, particularly those with limited hand strength or dexterity concerns.
For existing Lift Shop lifts installed before this became standard, we offer retrofit kits that can be installed during a scheduled maintenance visit. The retrofit process typically takes 2-3 hours and requires no lift downtime beyond the service period. Contact our service team to discuss retrofit options for your installation.
We introduced In-Cabin Self-Rescue (ICSR) in 2007, fundamentally changing how home lifts handle power failures. ICSR allows residents to move the lift to the nearest floor and exit safely without waiting for outside help—a feature now adopted as standard across our entire range and approved by WorkCover NSW.
Our other innovations include the Touchless Call System for hygiene and accessibility, advanced power-failure descent protocols, compliant door lock systems, anti-slip flooring, and emergency communication via GSM phone. All our lifts exceed AS1735.18 standards and are designed to prioritise resident safety in residential settings where external help is not minutes away.
All Lift Shop lifts meet and exceed AS1735.18, the Australian Standard for passenger lifts in private residences. This includes compliance with AS1735.1 (general requirements), AS1735.12 (accessibility for people with disabilities), and broader National Construction Code provisions.
We also design to EN81-41 (European standard for residential lifts), ensuring our lifts exceed multiple jurisdictional requirements. Our safety features include compliant door locks with full-height safety beams, emergency communication systems, In-Cabin Self-Rescue, power-failure descent, and anti-slip flooring. Every lift undergoes independent testing and certification before leaving Italy.
Yes, our lifts integrate with popular smart home systems via the Touchless Call System and optional IoT connectivity modules. Residents can call the lift using voice commands through compatible smart speakers, or use mobile apps to monitor lift status and receive maintenance alerts.
We support integration with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa ecosystems. The integration is optional, allowing residents to choose their preferred smart home platform or operate the lift independently without smart home connectivity. Our service team can discuss integration options during your consultation and provide custom setup for your chosen system.
