While global lift corporations rely on rigid systems and impersonal service, we’ve built our business around something else entirely, tailored innovation and genuine human connection.
Every lift we install is more than a product. It’s a personalised solution designed to fit your home, your needs, and your vision.
We were founded with a clear belief: that the best lift experiences are built on trust, design intelligence and lasting partnerships. Where others prioritise process, we prioritise people. And that makes all the difference.

At Lift Shop™, people come first.
Our culture is built on trust, respect and real collaboration, not blame, bureaucracy or box-ticking. We back our team, value their insights, and treat every challenge as a chance to learn and improve.
That same philosophy guides every lift we install.
Human-Centred Design
Your lift should reflect your life. That’s why we tailor every design to your space and lifestyle, never forced to fit a generic blueprint.
Trust and Transparency We treat our clients as partners, offering clear advice and honest answers from day one. No pressure. No surprises.
Flexible Solutions Unlike multinational providers with rigid offerings, we provide genuine flexibility in design, finishes and sourcing, so your lift works with your home, not against it.
Every Lift Shop™ product is a reflection of our principles: thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.
Lift Shop™ keeps quality simple.
We avoid the complex bureaucracy common with bigger corporations and focus instead on streamlined safety checks and proven quality controls. No unnecessary paperwork, just clear, effective processes that work.
With Lift Shop™, you’re never just a number. Our approach is personal, responsive, and practical.
We handle questions quickly, solve problems openly, and use every interaction to enhance your experience.

After 29 years, we know this: your satisfaction and safety come before profit.
With demand soaring and skilled labour tight, we’re limiting new orders. This isn’t about turning away business, it’s about protecting our promise to deliver flawless quality and service. We don’t chase volume. We pursue excellence.
A faulty lift isn’t a problem solved by replacement, it’s a problem that grows. Fixing it right and keeping you happy is our priority. That’s why over 4,700 clients rate us nearly 5 stars on Google.
If we can’t guarantee your satisfaction, we’ll say no.
Here’s when:
Financial Risk: We don’t pass bad debts onto our good clients.
Unrealistic Expectations: Our timelines are strict because they work.
Safety Negligence: Ignoring safety isn’t negotiable.
Unreasonable Demands or Conduct: Respect is non-negotiable, for us and our people.
Mismatch in Solutions: We’re specialists, if we don’t have the right lift for your needs, we won’t compromise.
Price Wars: Cooperation beats haggling. We prefer solving problems to hiring lawyers and yes, our legal team at Gilbert + Tobin is very good (and very expensive).
Thank you for understanding.
This is how everyone wins, with satisfaction, safety, and trust intact.
Homeowners expect more than a product, they want trust, discretion, reliability, and a personal connection.
A lift isn’t just equipment; it’s part of your home. That’s why Lift Shop™ becomes part of your personal service team, alongside your doctor, pool service, plumber, dentist, or cleaner.
Despite our size and scale, we’ve built our systems to keep personal contact front and centre. We know homeowners have different needs than commercial clients, and our tailored approach ensures your information is accessible and your concerns are understood.
Our technicians typically remain in their local areas for years, so you’ll get to know the same trusted professional every time. Being large and efficient never means sacrificing care.
Lift Shop™ isn’t just different, it’s in a class of its own.
Often imitated, never duplicated.
Proprietary. Unique. The engine behind Lift Shop’s unmatched efficiency and client value.
Custom-built since 2006, our integrated LLS system is the backbone of our success and the envy of the industry. Competitors who avoid doing the hard work often target it, but we protect it fiercely, offering confidential rewards for proof of intellectual property theft.
The result? Real savings, passed directly to you as lower prices without cutting corners.
Safety is non-negotiable at Lift Shop™. It’s at the heart of everything we do, reflected clearly in our excellent safety record.
Our lifts include numerous advanced safety features, each critical to ensuring your security and peace of mind. Key features include:
In-Cabin Self-Rescue
Emergency communication
Machine-space rescue
Automatic lowering during power failures
See these features demonstrated in person at our showrooms, or check the full safety list available in our lift specifications section.
Home lifts have unique safety considerations. Unlike public elevators, residential lifts often exist within secured homes, potentially restricting external emergency access.
In critical situations, features like our In-Cabin Self-Rescue system allow you to safely exit without waiting for external assistance.
Not all lifts offer equal protection. Ensure you choose the best.
At Lift Shop™, safety comes first, always.
If there’s a minor lift issue, our battery-backed system ensures doors are locked, then allows passengers to press and hold two buttons. The lift safely moves to the nearest floor, unlocking the door for easy exit.
Introduced by Lift Shop™ in 2007, this innovative feature is fully compliant with the Australian Standards and approved by WorkCover NSW, despite competitor objections.
Unlike public lifts, home lifts are in secured, private homes, making quick external rescue difficult. Simple power-failure sensors aren’t enough.
Don’t wait, exit safely yourself.
Home lifts operate in private, secured homes. External access can be challenging in emergencies. Our In-Cabin Self-Rescue provides peace of mind, letting you safely manage the situation without external help.

Lift Shop™ is the first choice for new home creators with a desire to make the property stand out. (Or POP as they say at the LA office)
The lifts are found in a range of homes, from those that are like private hotels to the homes being planned for the future. Future-proofing means a lift with a 40-year life span, so you don’t have to leave a bedroom downstairs or move.
Will you be the first taker?

Lift Shop was established in 1996 and has installed over 11,500 residential lifts across Australia. We have grown from a single office to six offices across Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra) plus one in Los Angeles. Our longevity and scale reflect the trust that Australian families have placed in us over three decades.
Our 11,500+ installations give us unmatched experience in Australian homes and climates. We understand the specific challenges of coastal corrosion, outback heat, tropical humidity, and regional accessibility. We have refined our products and service processes based on this vast real-world experience.
Yes. Lift Shop holds lift contractor licences in every Australian state and territory. We are fully licensed and compliant with all relevant work health and safety legislation. Our lifts are engineered to meet and exceed Australian Standard AS1735.18 (passenger lifts for private residences) and related parts of AS1735.
We also comply with the European standard EN81-41 for residential lifts and relevant provisions of the National Construction Code. Our compliance status and licence details are available on our website with direct look-up links for verification. Verify our licensing through SafeWork NSW or your relevant state or territory regulator.
ICSR (In-Cabin Self-Rescue) is fundamentally different from simple battery backup lowering. Battery backup lowering passively lowers the cabin to the nearest floor if power fails. ICSR gives you active control — you can press buttons inside the cabin to move the lift to the nearest floor yourself. You are not waiting for an automatic system; you are in control.
We introduced ICSR in 2007 and it is approved by WorkCover NSW as meeting the highest safety standards. In a home lift situation where help may be far away, active self-rescue is safer than passive lowering. ICSR is a Lift Shop innovation that we include on every lift.
Yes. We install and service home lifts across Australia, we have six office locations (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra) that cover all major population centres, and we dispatch technicians to regional and remote areas as well.
Our service reach includes coastal cities, inland regional towns, and remote properties. If you are located outside one of our major offices, contact us and we will discuss service coverage for your specific address. Our commitment is to support Lift Shop customers nationwide.
A home lift can be an attractive feature to potential buyers, particularly families with ageing relatives or people with mobility challenges. However, the exact impact on resale value depends on many factors: the local market, the buyer profile, the lift quality, and the home’s other features. A well-maintained lift from a reputable supplier is an asset; a poorly maintained lift may concern buyers.
We recommend disclosing the lift to potential buyers and emphasising its quality, warranty, and service record. Our 8-year warranty, 11,500+ installation record, and professional maintenance are strong selling points. For some buyers, an installed lift saves them the cost and hassle of installing one themselves. Speak with your real estate agent about how the lift is positioned in your specific market.
